Our philosophy is that a pizza is never just a pizza, and we had to take it to the next level when crafting our recipe for the Zaw version of the Margherita. After all, it was very likely the first style of pizza ever made, and it paved the way for a whole future of pizza cuisine enjoyment! Our Marg & Rita starts with an olive oil painted crust and our ruby red sauce and is covered with, juicy halved cherry tomatoes, roasted garlic cloves, a dash of salt and fresh basil. Finally, a classic mixture of parmesan and mozzarella cheeses tops this traditional, oh-so-favored pizza.
The hearty and flavorful combo of cherry tomatoes and basil on the Marg & Rita required a wine with notes of berries and tobacco, and the Christopher Michael Pinot Noir is perfect with flavors of cherry, raspberry, baking spices and a hint of tobacco. For beer lovers, we recommend the citrusy, bold flavors of the Black Raven Trickster IPA. Its classically piney finish is just right for the Marg & Rita’s loveliness.
