It’s been said that pizza wasn’t invented until the late 1800s, but a pizza of modern times can certainly carry more ancient inspiration for toppings. For example, the toppings on our Hunter Gatherer are a tribute to times when mankind had to either hunt animals and/or gather nuts, berries, and mushrooms to survive. This Zaw starts with our ruby red sauce base and it’s covered with an earthy, well-balanced mixture of toppings including sliced Italian sausage, braised crimini & button mushrooms, crumbled chevre, freshly ground pepper and mozzarella. A scattering of wild arugula and a spritz of lemon is added on top after baking.
